Cultural difference, though opinions in japan have been steadily changing, soap lands and the like are still seen as a "service" rather than an intimate sexual act. Btw a lot of japanese women also see it like that, it's not just men.

Their definition of cheating is more on the lawful side (if it's just physical the judge will not consider it as infidelity) rather than the moral one so it is a bit different from what we consider as cheating but personally their mindset is the problem, and it can be criticized. Just because it's widely tolerated doesn't mean that it's right. reply
