I swear to god if I see another yaoi with smut in the first ch I think I'm literally going to die....ok maybe not die but still it's so annoying and like there wasn't even consent when they fucked in the first place and yes I know it's normal and all in yaoi like trust me I've been reading yaoi for years now but it's starting to get on my nerves now after so long like I don't know maybe it's because I've been reading yaoi for to long now and I just don't really care for smut that much anymore and just want plot and maybe it also has to do with the fact I don't really read yaoi that much anymore so maybey my bullshit tolerance has dropped but lets be honest if it doesn't have rape or toxic top or bottom hack even both then it's not going to become popular enough to be noticeable or even on the home page and before you say "oh why don't you just read Shounen Ai?" Trust me I would love to but believe it or not there are actual yaois with actual good plot just too much fucking smut
Literally yaoi authors have no sense of world building. They just jump straight to sex because that's the only thing most readers want but when there is slowburn with sex it becomes so much better . Like in most yaoi manhwas there is no chemistry, no intimacy, no romance. Just lust and sex

Yaoi is used to describe titles that contain sex scenes and other sexually explicit themes
Shounen-ai is used to describe titles that focus more on romance and do not include explicit sexual content.
At the of the day, Yaoi IS porn. If it happens to have a good story too, then great. But it's purpose is to entertain SEXUALLY. And everyone knows ...... 2 reply

If you dont like Smut in Yaoi you should probably read Shounen Ai. From my own experience they rarely have sex scenes, but when they do its almost always consentual. I've never seen rape in Shounen Ai Manga but I cant erase the possibility of it existing since I havent read all of them. I personally dont often read Yaoi or Yuri since they have too ...... 1 reply
Don't pick stories that has a hardcore tag or litterally has ass and dick on the cover. Sometimes reading the comment is a good imdication on what type of story it is cus usually BL with porn in every chapter has people being constantly horny on the comments.
