Recommend for first time watchers/readers?
I just saw a tiktok talking about what people would rec others that want to get into anime and got curious about my own choices but couldn't really decide.
What would you rec first time anime watchers or manga readers (since this is a manga site)?
i feel like attack on titan is a solid rec for a wide range of people. it doesn't give you time to be bored, the artstyle is semi-realistic, starts off easy to understand, slowly moves on to more political/philosophical issues

If the person is okay with something sport related, I'd recommend haikyuu. it was my first anime and it definitely set the standard high. It gets you hooked and you feel yourself unable to contain your curiosity the longer you continue watching.The characters are so well written and it really helped me grow as a person.

Ok as the OP, I looked at the answers and I agree that mob psycho 100 and One Punch Man would be great starter anime for the General audience, maybe even AOT (I'm not a huge Fan personally but can see the appeal) I also want to add Katanagatari cause its a personal favorite and just underrated but also a great first watch with adventure/Action + a ...... 1 reply
depends on the person you're recommending it to. but for me my go to is mob psycho 100 i think everyone will be able to enjoy it especially since the main theme of the anime is human emotions and development which i believe everybody can relate to. reply
While I saw it totally depends on the person's likes, I think Naruto, Ohshc, and Dragon Ball are pretty good for starters, considering how they're pretty well known and are relatively easy to get into, though they're pretty basic recs. reply
