Heavily questioning my gender atm
Im AFB and I find myself wanting to be Androgynous, feminine or masculine at times. Like i don't want to switch any parts or something like that but sometimes I just get these feelings of wanting to look a certain way and I just feel icky at times when I can’t achieve that?? Its honestly so confusing having to put this into words Is anyone else having this same experience??
Wanting to be androgynous, feminine or masculine doesn't necessarily have anything to do with gender. You can have all those feelings but still want to be a woman - that's perfectly normal.
The only advise I can give is, when the icky feelings come, try and think about whether it's only about looks (the way you present yourself) or if there's a de...... reply
Totally normal. It just means you have a wide preference on how you want to look and act depending on your mood. It does not mean you just suddenly want to change your gender. 1 reply
If you're still young this is normal and I went through the same thing.
Having your body change plus the hormones from puberty is a toll on your mind. Being afab doesn't help with how society views us and all the beauty standards lingering around.

Try thinking about this thing without thinking about the physical part.
If someone went up to you and started referring to you as a guy, would that feel "wrong"? What about being referred to as not a man or a woman?
What if you were refused entry to a women only place/event?
Would you be upset because "you're a woman too"?

also afab here, when i was in hs i was experiencing smth like that too. idk if this way would work for u as well but heres what i did. i didnt care. i just dressed what i felt that day, act the way i wanted to act wo caring abt gender roles and stuff, not caring what others think of me whether they think im gay or i wna become a guy. i didnt care c...... reply
yea i had the same feelings back in high school (female here) but with time that feeling got lost and i just dressed as i wanted and i became more feminine... it was more of a phase ╮(￣▽￣)╭ reply
