Whether it's something objectively bad or personal preference, I'd be interested to hear it! There's a lot of things I could write about here, from the too wide yaoi mouths and necks, the cheap posable bases, to a whole book about female characters and how boobs work, but alas, the catalyst for the post is the main character from Mercenary enrollment:

I'd say any anime that hyper focuses on faces is a bit of a fail, only focusing on main, an no other people. Most succesful animes pan out so far you cant even draw faces. Most humans interacts with scenery, an strangers we may never see again, they are sweet moments. Plus the scenery moves us more if you own something in a scene. Like the classic green lamp, a patch guilt, a goofy nic nac, or hobby. Durara, Demon Slayer, Summer Wars, Ghibli Films, Tokyo Godfathers, all have these pan out traits an are famous.

Like I read this one manhwa where they had 3D gloves, but they were those black skin tight ones yknow the ones? Where u can just draw the hand, draw a line for the gloves and fill the area black? Yeah anyways. My problem was the hand was normally drawn like 2D, but it was just the area for the glove that was a 3D model (it was like one of those stupid gloves where it only goes about halfway down their palm). I wish I could add a picture I can't explain it well, but it was so pointless
