So, well, hello. I figured I'd ask here because yall strangers and I know you won't hold back when it comes to constructive criticism on my current hatching skill What do I need to work on? Do you have any tips? Any comments would be appreciated. ( My family and friends will be no help since you know.. they might sugarcoat it, anyway I'm in SHS so you know I'm an adult so don't hold back)
try using more shading and less the point of your pencil .. also you should start seeing shapes and not lines for guys xample shading by shabes the of the shadow or light .
Drawings look great but theres a bit too much shading going on. U might want to try shining a light on the actual object to gague how long the shawdows need to be if you haven't already dont that. For example the apple or if you have blocks lying around Some drawing seem like they're slanting when they shouldnt be so maybe have some gridlines to keep them on the same level. I'm not an art student so i rlly dont know any good tips. Deff practice more. Your drawings are good.
Hello, I want to start off by saying that your drawings are very good, you have a good sense of shape. I suggest establing some guidelines based off of the shapes. I remember when I learned sketching, I had to draw a square, cut it into fourths, and so on. It helped me with perspective when creating more complicated pieces (such as a wine jar or a pillar). This website should help: https://www.drawinghowtodraw.com/stepbystepdrawinglessons/2014/01/drawing-circles-in-perspective-how-to-draw-circles-and-ellipses-in-correct-perspective/ I think it would help you if you were to use this technique since some shapes do look a little wonky, the cylinder and such. It looks complicated and it looks like math, but once you do it a few times it comes to you naturally, and you won't need the minute guidelines anymore. I think circles are very important when it comes to nailing down perspective and drawing anything really so this would help you immensly. I also suggest being a lot more confident in your shading, in real life harsh shadows provide a lot more contrast than what you are depicting in your pieces, go over it two or three times. If it is within your budget you could go for some darker graphite pencils.
i think you need a bit more contrast so the shape stands out more. and make sure the lines are at the right spot based on perspective ??? i cant find the words to explain it also what is SHS, i tried searching but all i got was a highschool near me

I mainly do digital art so maybe my opinion won’t really matter much but still decided to give it anyways
1: being able to draw like that is amazing, with that being said I don’t really see anything wrong with it so in my opinion it’s pretty good so far, great detail, the shapes are good especially considering the fact some of them seem to be 3D and it’s easy to make out what you were drawing as well!
