Kinda random but why are mfs so proud of watching/being a fan or gore or snuff??? Do u think you're cool for watching it and not feeling anything???

"Haha Im so desensitized by the things I see on the internet to the point in which I don't feel anything when I watch a life being taken away" do you want a cookie? Are you proud? What did you accomplish.

Mfs think they're tough after they say that too like dude, u not even the fart

Copied from my comment on a different thread, this is in my opinion and experience of some of the reasons people may watch gore for.

From my own experience (I used to do it in the past), watching gore is a way of grounding yourself, especially for people with dissociation and derealization (that's what most people claim). Another reason for that is morbid curiosity but I don't think that's enough to get people to watch it more than a few times.
Watching gore isn't due to sadism most of the time.
The reason I don't have a problem watching gore is because I grew desensitized to almost everything due to growing on reddit
I also have a problem with empathy because of autism, which I think plays a part in this.

This is just my own experience and opinions based on answers of other people regarding the topic

Bragging about it is kinda weird tho

Yea, I struggle with depression and it had gotten so bad I can't feel anything (sounds edgy ik lmfao) and I have an issue with empathy because of my autism as well, I got curious and saw some and while I may not have felt anything, I still understood it wasn't a topic that should be shared with others, or bragged about like its an accomplishment.

Unfortunately the internet has made many like you desensitized to things that you shouldn't be desensitized to, and its awful. The younger generations are also going to experience this I'm sure, as they've already gotten into consumerism.

I used to think this way when I was a kid so whenever I found disturbing things I'd pretend to be indifferent to it and feel like I'm so cool for that while denying the fact that I was actually affected by whatever shit I saw

i'm the other way around, lol. i've always been a pretty apathetic person in real life, and that bothers me, so the first time i felt dizzy when i saw a person making blood pudding from his own blood (anatomy and physiology documentary i watched in class) i was so surprised and somewhat happy that i wasn't completely heartless. i became a bit upset later when someone tried to comfort me by saying that the gore might not been what bothered me, but by the fact that a man was cooking and consuming his own blood which means it might have just been disgust instead of fear or horror. which is...welp. onto other things.

but yeah, it's definitely frustrating when people brag about watching content that devalues people and reduces them to entertainment. like, congrats, you watch and consume content that actively dehumanizes people! want a medal?

Cause some people think having no emotions is cool or something. I have no clue genuinely. I guess it also makes them proud (?) that they are not like others and that makes them feel special in some kind of a way. Because they are not like normal human beings lol? Or maybe it makes them feel strong because they are able to watch stuff like this while people are "weak" and can't digest that kind of content. This are some assumptions honestly. It's super weird tho that's for sure

Tell me you lack empathy without telling me you lack empathy
And the two psychological terms particularly associated with a lack of empathy are sociopathy and psychopathy you therefore you sir stop flexing and get yourself a doctor

TheSuperBunny March 13, 2024 12:57 pm

Bpd can also comes with a lack of empathy, ASD (autism) too.

I can say that I have some kind of a lack of empathy because of autism

Exactly, and can we PLEASE stop romanticizing mental disorders? Its not quirky or cool.. Its just downplaying the real thing.

Gurl March 13, 2024 8:08 am

I get it, its not a big deal but maybe they feel that way cause most people can't watch Gore and they can so it's kind of an accomplishment in a way? idkk either ways I'm not one.

NAH FR LIKE TF DO PEOPLE THINK THEY'RE ON WHEN THEY SAY THAT... TF DO THEY WANT ME TO SAY BACK TO THAT Those mfer's always think that they're such a quirky and silly goofy rascal and so "not like other girls" for wanting to watch and show gore.
Also weirdly enough those types of people always think they're above everyone too, them bitches r always so judgemental like they aren't actively gore enjoyers. AND THEN THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TRY AND SHOW YOU SOME.

I have met 5 people like this like years apart throught my life and I can confidently say that they're all basically the same exact person.
