So.. Is it weird to randomly cry when you see the MC new born baby? Like I just cry and gasped in the moment I saw the baby. I feel like I had the connection to the character. It's not just sometimes, its like everytime

Um u really like babies I guess. I personally think they look kinda ugly. I've never seen a pretty baby. Ive seen a lot of cute kids but not cute babies

I mean socially speaking, this is peak design, empathy is a big thing in our societies.
That and the fact that feelings for fictional characters are the same kind of feelings that we feel for real life things, it's the same hormones at work in the end.
So while I can't relate, i still find it fascinating so display such levels of empathy.

stop hating guys i think op just really likes new life they enjoy seeing the happy conclusion of the whole plot, because newborns usually represent the overcoming of all the angst and misery and sorrow in the main characters’ lives and the subsequent transition into stability and peace (where they can safely birth a baby). also op really likes k...... reply
Ignore most of the people answering this, there’s no shame in crying.
It’s really normal to get attached to a main character (because that’s literally what they’re written for, you’re *supposed* to root for them). Especially if the character is really well written? Chefs kiss.

But I will say people who are saying it's weird to cry over fiction/get so attached forget that people cry over sad movies without being judged and that's not weird. My take is that it's a bit weird to cry just because you saw the baby, though, even irl, unless you're the parent, it doesn't make sense. reply
