I felt quirky today and decided to stalk a certain website that allegedly kills people with their toxic ass community, only to see there being a bunch of game forums and the whole community playing together, and people just being supportive to each other over all. They just have a certain opinion over a controversial topic (which I will not be mentioning cuz ion wanna bring it up) that majority of the public doesn't agree with. So that made me curious, what communities did u have the wrong impression of and were surprised to see how they actually were?
It's sort of the opposite for me for this one and that's the BTS ARMY, thought the community was really chill and funny but it's fucking toxic feels like a civil war zone with everyone policing everyone for the dumbest of shit, guilt tripping you because you don't vibe with something, streaming like its a fucking day job and so much more that was M...... reply
It's probably Mlbb, there are sum people that are toxic and am scared at those especially PHILIPPINES server. There are low chance of toxic people in Classic game than ranked, but I think that there are chill, you just need to get all good and they'll accept you. reply
For me it was one piece and the sims community. For the one piece Fans I always thought they were a little bit too much and pretty cringe, and while it is still true that there are some very cringe one piece fans the community is actually very chill and fun. Ngl danganronpa and stardew valley I was scared of the community so I always kept to myself and played the games and when I decided to sneak a peak at the fandoms it made the game 10x better oh and obey me 2 reply
My experience was the opposite. I join several community in my university year and one of them is the crocheting club. I thought people there gonna be group of the most chill person on campus but oh lord was i wrong. Like there's no day where they don't talk shit about others member and even non member while crocheting. 1 reply
