While reading fictional works we create somewhat of a parasocial relationship with the characters. Our brain doesn’t understand that it's not real. Given that narration gives us an insight into a character’s inner thoughts, their motivations, and their thought processes, it’s sometimes easier to empathise and connect with fictional characte...... 2 reply

Probably because they are something I would never be or they have something i could never have. I love all those beautiful looking characters because they fill in me the insecurities and I just imagine me as them.I don't know how to exactly explain this but for eg Maki..I like how cool and outspoken and powerful she is and how she stands out.
