I’ve been reading stuff on mangago since 2016, and ive seen the website evolve in many different ways. Ive never complained about the userbase, everyone has different tastes ! But since 2023/2024, many users have been complaining a LOT. Like, all the time. About anything. And it’s getting really frustrating, these people are criticizing something they DIDNT BUY and are reading ILLEGALLY but still find ways to complain about the piece.
I don't think someone needs to buy something to be able to complain about it. It's much better to actually try reading the manga here and only buying when I actually end up liking it instead of wasting my money on something I end up not liking and complaining about.
certainly, also i think the userbase is much younger ? i know many old user who either unactive/deactivated, also there are a few mangas i cant find anymore that has a lot of complaints i think
covid brought in a bunch of new anime fans that are annoying. A lot of pretty mid series were overhyped because of them. Anime has degraded in general honestly.
like idk, it's harder to find interesting stuff that's from after 2020.
I blame all my problems on the covid anime fans, aka I-have-nothing-else-to-do-now-but-anime fans.
