I really think you need inspiration, along with motivation and some thinking before you start it. I'm writing a fanfiction right now, and I just realized how much I didn't plan for it, and it's really hard to continue it (I will at least see it to the end though, since it's my first one I started for that ac...... 3 reply
It’s a combination of needing inspiration as well as self-confidence. Usually I start writing something when I’m inspired, but I delete it immediately afterwards because I think it’s garbage.

Honestly yes, I write all the time and things that help me is reading. And no, not mangas/huas/hwas, but a book that’s just lines with no pictures, and see if they can keep my attention. This helps because I see different authors styles and the flow of the story, and the tropes. Also lowkey just wanted to answer this question Bc it was from 2016....... reply
