weird place to post i know so shut up, dis the only place i know that gives unbiased answers. anywayya my periods have always been really fucking shit like unbearable pain,suicidal thoughts,complete loss of productiveness and just utter exhaustion. however its gotten really bad recently so im considering taking birth control that COMPLETELY stops periods, i dont want children and i never so i dont care about potential infertility. my question is to people who take birth control plz tell me ur experience with it and how it changed your wellbeing(better or worse),especially if ur like me and take the pills to completely stop periods. GRACIAS.
Gonna start off strong here by saying, I'm not on birth control and prob never will be. My body doesn't react well to certain medications, such as the medication just not working, or me getting allergic reactions from them and such.

I literally had that same problem and I’m now on birth control. One thing I will say is talk to a gynecologist/OB-GYN they are there to help you make the best decision.

Bro same here. I got on birth control, just the basic pills ones so I still get my period but it's been WAYYYYYYYYYY better. I feel like a normal human being. Don't have to anxiety every month knowing I'll be bed ridden throwing up all night. i dont even think they should be used for contraception bc they mess with your body so much, if you have to please dont use them for long periods reply
I think you should consult with your doctor. My period is also painful but I think it's not as bad as yours. But if I exercise daily and only eat clean somehow it gets better 1 reply
yeah months ago i got the jab for stopping my periods and of course your period wont stop COMPLETELY itll be quite irregular (ive had 2 periods after it but they werent so bad)

girl yeah birth control isn't just used for well birth control, theyre really good for stopping periods too. I wouldn't recommend using it for a long period of time but as someone who used it for a short period time to just stop their period for a month, it's really good and there weren't any side effects other then my period being incrediably heav...... reply
