Im lowk bad at explaining but i’ll try my best! When trying to move forward, bend ur knees and push ur foot back diagonally. Most ppl trip moving forward bc they’re pushing their feet straight back.

first, before trying to move at all- get use to just standing and balancing on ur skates. in the beginning it’s fine to hold onto the rail but the ultimate goal is to not depend on the rail, so try to not hold onto the rail so much and only hold on if u feel like u really need to.
