what is the gender breakdown of shotacon artists?
going off the previous question about shotacon, I'm curious about the demographics of creators in this genre (manhwa/manga/doujins). I know that many yaoi artists are women, so am i to believe the shotacon artists are also primarily women? I'm finding it diffuclt to wrap my head around this

Short answer: idk. If I had to guess I’d say men are more common, but the source for that is that I pulled it out of my ass just now. Also more women write yaoi for the same reason most modern accountants are women; the first ones were girls and we’ve just kinda been rolling with it since then.

I honestly don't know, and I doubt we can ever know considering many authors do simply not ever reveal their true gender or age. Many even use a different gender for their name, so....it's really guesswork.
