Opinion on Piracy?
Obviously this whole ass site is a pirating site but i'm curious on what your opinion on the morality of piracy is.
Many shows due to streaming are impossible to watch due to the fact they were removed from their streaming sites and the only way to see them is through piracy so i have mostly positive feelings towards it, not only that but i'm not really okay with paying for something that i actually don't really own, i like watching a show or read a manga/book for free online and if i enjoy it i buy the physical form. I like paying for stuff i know i own, paying subscriptions seems really fucking dumb in my opinion.
Not to mention the reason stuff like anime and manga are so popular in the west is because of piracy and fans going out of their way to translate anime/manga that otherwise western audiences would have never heard of
I love it, I wouldn’t be as happy as I am without these piracy cites️

"culture shouldnt exist only for those who can afford it"
there was a quote i saw in instagram that came from twitter i believe. The context of it was someone posting about them pirating a specific indie game, and the game creator replied saying, while you should creators as much can you can , you can also support creators from word of mouth

Some people can't afford to keep up with every show they watch especially with rising prices nowadays. But if you got a show or a manhwa that you really REALLY REALLY LOVE and got extra money then I suggest using it to buy the official chapters/episodes. I read way too many BL and there's no way I can keep up with them all but I have bought all the...... reply
I can only watch anime and read mahwas because of piracy, I think you should try to support the creators and authors if you can. But if you don’t have the money than it’s alright to pirate something. The creators may also benefit form their works being recognised and famous reply
It's definitely not morally correct because it is stealing, but when I was little I would spend hours watching my dad burn movies onto dvds bcuz he didn't want to buy them but still wanted to "own" them so honestly idgaf pirating is part of who I am
Also I'm a Digimon fan and old Digimon mangas r really only available thru pirating sooo priorities...... reply
I think the majority of people wouldn't turn to piracy if they could somehow obtain stuff legally, which comes down not only to pricing, but to other factors such as availability and convenience (also ethics in particular cases such as access to information published in scientific journals but I won't discuss that here unless someone wants me to lo...... reply
I could never pirate that's so illegal /j (but in reality, i do get sad when creatives can't make enough money off of their work and end up having to do other stuff, and i'd say it's immoral for someone to produce work and not be paid accordingly. BUT, if it's a old show that's been decommissioned and wasn't trying to make money anymore to begin wi...... 1 reply
