What is toxic yaoi?
Recently I had looked for recommendations (on twitter) for toxic yaoi but when I read the recommendations they all included rxpe + other non consensual abuse. I was under the impression that toxic yaoi was a toxic relationship where the relationship is hurting both or one people emotionally, for example banana scandal. Yaoi that includes rxpe etc. I would consider that dark yaoi but idk. So now I am left wondering what is this toxic yaoi everyone is talking about?
toxic yaoi is really just going to be used to broadly refer to any bl relationship where the characters aren't healthy for each other. if you're trying to find dark stories without getting into consent issues etc you'll be a lot safer checking cws rather than whatever micro genre of the week people describe it as. toxic yaoi isn't an official ter...... reply
toxic yaoi does include rape and things of the sort. it’s not just emotional hurt and rivalry. “toxic” yaoi is meant to be problematic hence the name TOXIC reply
