I've just gotten a new haircut and it was completely butchered, like it's not even remotely close and I can't even begin to fix it because the original haircut that i wanted was super short but she somehow managed to make it even shorter, I don't know what to do, I have exams and stuff but I cant even stand the thought of going out no matter how hard I try, even with my family's encouragements I can't bring myself to take a step outside, it's impossible I've also thought about just covering my hair but that's against school policy/dress code so I'll be asked to take it off either way, even if I wanted to wear a wig or something not only will people know but there's also practically 0 places to buy good quality wigs (we don't/can't make online transactions here) what do I do?
SHAVE IT. I balded myself in my early 20s and at first I was terrified but I ended up absolutely loving it.
Every damn day I think about going back to the bald life, but I'm a waitress rn and I think longer hair will keep better tips coming in.
Anyway REMEMBER it is just HAIR, it grows back and it grows faster than u think!

Talk with your school board, my friend was allowed to wear a headscarf because of her treatments (she had shaved of her head), maybe you can ask your parents to lie? It's not like the school board will check. If that is not gonna work out then own your hairstyle sis, Don't tell anyone that it was a mistake. Make it seem intentional.

I know the simple answer would be hair clips/barrette or finger waves or slicked back with gel/foam but I think you need to dive deeper on why you can't even imagine leaving the house (at the expense of your exams) because of a bad hair cut. maybe you can schedule another hair appointment somewhere and ask them to show you different ways to style it? maybe they can show u a styling that your ok with
... or dye it a cool color, might as well have fun with it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
