Manga or manhwa

manga artstyle is so pronounced and sharp esp body language motion you can tell they have honed their craft, manhwa sometimes has great art but a lot of mediocre art as well plotwise manga ain't afraid to come up with bizarre shit, heavy very hard concepts, manhwa is most of the time recycled, if they try to make it dark it isn't actually dark lol ......   1 reply

I personally like manga better because almost all the best stories(comics) in the world are manga, and manhwa is usually used for isekai/villinass stories and porn. I like manwha's better because it helps me imagine the world surrounding them better with all the colors and backgrounds. Mangas are a bit small for me, and I love reading action so the SFX for mangas can sometimes be hard to read since the black and white blends in with each other, same with the fighting scenes too. IMO manga clears manhwas in all areas. The uniqueness of the art, the storyline, the background art... Only problem is many manga artist can only have a limited amount of chapters for their mangas because of publishing reasons, but apart from that I love them infinitely better. For BL, manga. I don't recall the last time I read a rich douche top taking advantage of a timid poor bottom in a manga lol. I feel like that stereotype is more common in manhwa since chaebol+kdrama influence. Some manhwa are exceptional of course but there's more variety in manga. I don’t pay attention to which is which, but I read and enjoy a lot of the mainstream BL which is mostly manhwa(I think lol) But Some of my fav BL authors are Japanese like Scarlet Beriko & CTK I do want to read more manhua because I LOVE DANMEI   reply

I usually like how the story is written better on manga and is more unique but I read more manhwa than manga bc it have colors lmaoo. But I like both quite equally because im not that picky on what I read.   reply

plot and artstyle wise id say manga but i read more manhwa than manga simply just because it's not so small like the panels also the b&w colors arent helping (i have poor eyesight and even tho i can zoom i still squint my eyes) i kid you not my head starts aching and i get like dizzy sometimes   reply
