i was 14, my classmate introduces me to a shoujo-ai (yes, Girl to Girl)anime and at that time I didn't even know what GAY is or even same-sex exist and i remember being shock and confused so she educated me about LGBT and different genres in anime, that's when I learned about Shounen-ai & Yaoi. she showed me pictures of gay couples from 'Loveless' anime, and anime G x G and M x M fanarts. (imagine when you find out SASUNARU was a thing) I wasn't that interested at first but out of curiosity, i explored more about the genre. back then, the internet wasn't easy to have- I could only use the internet during computer classes from school but there's this weekly anime magazine that my classmate always buy and in the mag they recommend new anime etc. there, I learned about 'Junjou Romantica' and I remember the yaoi genre so i tried watching it. I bought the DVD. sneakily watched at night. that's when i learned to like it. and since then i surf more and more yaoi but back then it was hard to look for yaoi DVDs so when we set up internet at home that's when I search for yaoi mangas.
I read the manga of Junjou Romantica first and the rest followed~ :3
Funny was my friend only introduced me to shoujo-ai cuz she wants somebody to fangirl with her but I was interested more in shounen-ai and fallin too deep to Yaoi. xD
