body image issues
whilst i really enjoy reading manga, i often compare my body to the bodies of girls in manga/anime. it's a really awful feeling, and even though i'm aware that i'm comparing myself to a 2D drawing, i can't shake these feelings of inferiority. i'm thinking about quitting manga + anime altogether. anyone else feel the same?
Personally I've never tried to compare to anime girls because they usually have a preferred body type but I would definitely refrain from manga and anime if it's taking more happiness then it's bringing. 1 reply
I have inferiority complex about my body too but art for bodies in manga are often overly exaggerated so I can't really find anything to compare there ╮(￣▽￣)╭ reply
