What would be your advice to someone new to k-pop ?
It's been 1 year since I've been a k-pop fan and to tell you the truth it's so fun but...... I've faced soo much difficulty starting the stan a specific group cause wdym a group just debuted and they already have 200+ videos on their yt ?? And I wanted to stan many at that time ... honestly I stan both ggs and bgs so again it was a lot difficult. But if I were to give my advice to someone new :- • don't rush to watch your k-pop group's videos like it's a task , I personally started watching the new ones they released and then catched up on old ones just in case I wanna some info about the members. • it would be good to know if your stan group has a toxic or green flag fans ...it's gonna sound weird but when I started stanning skz there were alot of who didn't liked specific members and were just solo stans ...I mean it's not bad to be solo stan but spreading hate to other members is NOT good . ALSO SKZ STANS A LOT WEIRD AT SPECIFIC OCCASIONS. (ENHAS TOO) . I have many more ....still I wanna know what you guys would give as a advice to someone new . ( I would also love if you mention the groups you stan too pls )
My advice is just to take your time getting to know them. When I was younger I made it a task to know each members name as fast as possible and understand most of the inside jokes but now that I'm older I feel like I mostly just keep up with the group's activities when I feel like it. i think ive been listening to kpop
since 2011-ish and actually i dont think i have an advice to give since op already said it. Just listen to their music and admire them however you want and whenever you want. like op said theres no pressure. 1 reply
as a fan with more then 10yrs of experience it's best for u to take your time its ok to be a multi-stan but dont overwhelm yourself compared to 10 years ago (2nd & 3rd kpop group) lots of fan bases of new generations kpop group can be very toxic a lot of fans preferring certain members only, some are very weird, obsessive, & very freaky about cert...... reply
dont stress too much... i mean being up to date with their content is great and all but remember why you started following them in the first place. Just enjoy what you can, their music, their vids and everything. And you can't really control toxic fans so best ignore them (this is coming from a debut era army that's now an occasional viewer and lis...... reply
Y'all I am a stan but I live in a country where k-pop concert are not held (adgghdsjsfhh) and also IM BROKE SO I CAN'T BUY THEIR MERCH SOO I JUST ONLY CONTRIBUTE BY LISTENING TO THEIR SONGS , VOTING FIR THEM (IF POSSIBLE) AND ALSO WATCHING THEIR VIDS ... (JUST WANTED YAP!! NVM)!!! reply
