So my phone is broken and i'm broke...but

Hello!!! So my phone has been broken for almost a month now. And well, I don't have the money to have it fixed since it's summer. All and I can't get a part time job yet cause i need to wait for another year before they start accepting me....but the thing is i know this person, we aren't that close. Still, they're really generous and I'm not here to say i'm going to take advantage of their kindness i'm just thinking of trying to ask to borrow money from them and hopefully, save up the money to pay them back.....i can't let my mom know nor my relatives that i'm going to borrow money from her cause she's actually an ex of one of my relatives....and yeah i really can't let my mom know cause she already has a lot in her plate and she'd probably lash out on me if i tell her my phone's broken (based on experience, literally even the simplest things tbh)

anyways i'm here to ask if i should go on with it? i'm planning on telling this person my intentions as well as how and when I'd pay them back...ik with my current state rn i don't really have the ability to be able to pay her back T-T but....soon hopefully, i'm going to make sure that my words aren't empty promises huhu as this person has been very supportive in me even though we chat in quite the secretive way.
