How do you guys learn how to do makeup?
I've been self studying myself on how to apply makeup because I've been attending convention and cosplay event and even cosplaying sometimes but my makeup is always so smudgy.. where do you guys learn how to do it?
man i watched hundreds of makeup tutorials growing up and still can't do makeup for shit;;; but i did improve a little at eyeshadow after watching enough DCC Making the Team to kinda see the vision reply
yeah for me it's just a matter of practice. like it's taken a few years to get to a point where it suits my face/is sharp. mad respect though i only do casual makeup, cosplaying is a completely different level. reply
I draw so i guess it was easy for me as applying makeup is similar to drawing? but I learned through tutorials, the thing is you should take your time, it will look smudgy if you rush it and use tap tap tap motion (don't swipe, it will ruin it)
just practice and don't be scared to experiment, trust the process 1 reply
