Fav genre/subgenre besides the most common ones?
Besides liking hetero romance, BL, GL and such: What is your favourite genre or subgenre rather when it comes to stories? And WHY do you like it?
I personally have always been a sucker for shounen with action (maybe some comedy), that's why I am such a fan of Wind Breaker (watch it, now), BnHA or older stuff like Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. There's just something great about watching epic fights in animated format. <3
Delinquent or general combat anime are just super interesting to look at (can absolutely recommend Wind Breaker btw, great fight choreo!) and if it has an element of life lessons being learned, growing as a person or even some comedy, it's just perfect for me.
I eat up unlimited flow like there is no tomorrow. I especially like the horror based ones. The idea of people just entering different realities with it own rules per one is like reading multiple stories in one book. I really like how brain power plays a big part in solving each world, books that are brain rotting are ok but ones that force me to "...... reply
Horror/gore, comedy/gag, supernatural shounen, seinen....I actually like all of these better than romance, romance is not the genre i primarily read reply
There's a genre of BL where it's like if Danmei and Korean bl had a secret love child. The plot is hella spicy in terms of plot, the Dynamic is on point and makes you yearn for more, slow, deep burn but with shrexy time scene AND JUST A PINCH of toxicity. THERE'S NOTHING BETTER 1 reply
Other than the classic one where I can turn off my brain to read, I mostly love revenge ones especially when MC ends up with someone else other than her husband who killed her. Now that will immediately make me drop that shit so fast. reply
I really like fantasy !! Especially high fantasy stories with great world building. I just really like idea of a world with magic ^^ I also love psychological. Its a great genre. I'm an absolute sucker for historical too, especially european. It's mainly cuz i really like the fashion reply
