Well honestly, what they're saying is true. Everyone have preferences and you're free to criticize it but some people is still gonna disagree, there are so many good mangas, manhwas and manhuas out there so don't get stressed out about some terrible story plot or terrible character development. reply
The death of media is when all stories are being written to cater to "self insert" consumption, why do people feel the need for the characters to have the same ideals/situations/feelings as they do?
And writers are writing more and more stories that fit that mold.

You know funnily enough I was thinking of something a little similar. More about fanbase. There are so many example of toxic fanbase rn. Like you cannot have any other opinion except for theirs. the thing is toxic people likes very normal/good things and make them extreme.
