is it just me? if i like this one underrated series or something that's not popular i yap about it to my friends encouraging them to also look it up and join the fandom blah blah but when they actually do it or that something suddenly becomes well-known to everyone else i get pissed off and i just wanna, like, say "i know that thing better than y'all", i swear I don't wanna act like that but i just can't help it, and it's very childish T___T
I don't mind the first case but when it starts being popular it pmo so much bc people have 0 comprehension skills and just brush over the plot OR they compare it to some overrated story just bc the characters may share a feature or two reply

I do that too lol like I'm not tryna gatekeep but I literally have had instances where I tell my friends to check a series and they don't. And then the series gets popular and an anime and they have the gall to tell me "Hey have you heard of Oshi no Ko? It's super good, I recommend" LIKE I DIDN'T TELL THEM ABOUT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT.
