What's something someone said to you that just stuck with you?
I'll go first some user here said "it's okay to leave someone even if they're depressed" it's still stuck to me to this day. That made me think for awhile and I even wanted to say "Hey that's not okay" but then I realised mid typing my whole essay. I don't think that person meant anything negative with that since they usually go give advice to people. Anyways, after that I started to get more Vids of people's pov handling a depressed person and how much it was hurting them. It dawned upon me.
It was okay to feel hurt from dealing with people like that and not having to want to take care of them like jaiden animations said "it's not your responsibility to take of someone's happiness" and I felt relieved. Honestly that was the reason why I took therapy cus I realised my feelings mattered and so did everyone else around them.
After all "I'm just a kid too" and it was really comforting to hear that. I just hope that user that said that, see how that qoute changed someone's life. It's really funny how some stranger saying things to you can change things.

I'm glad you learned that lesson. In a way it's a terribly cruel lesson to learn.
It's not something you do out of ill will or ignorance, it's because you love someone and want to see them happier. Better. Healthier.
But we can't save other people. It's not our role as friends and family.

I know it's not the subject but there's something bothering me People are saying someone depressed to talk about a depressive person, but isn't different? Like a depressive person is someone with depression, when someone depressed has a low mood like sadness but isn't necessarily depressive ? Tell me if I'm wrong reply
