How do you guys feel about time regression redemption plots? Are they forgivable for y’all?
Yk, when the mc goes back in time after being horrifyingly treated by ml, or the ml goes back in time to fix things with mc. I’ve read a couple bls like that…and I have mixed feelings about it. The plot is interesting, and it’s nice to see someone genuinely change for the better when given a 2nd chance…but it’s still icky. I can’t imagine being abused in every way possible, DYING, then go back in time and still love the guy and fix the issues before mans get all berserk again. Or as a ml, treating someone you "love" horribly, regret it, go back in time and STILL go after mc. Like if it were me, I’d feel like I’d b walking on thin ice all the time, afraid of getting them mad cuz u KNOW what they’re capable of. Or if I treated my love horribly, I wouldn’t go after them again if I went back in time. I’d stay far, FAR away from them.
my hunch: the groveling trope. someone who treats you badly regrets it and falls in love with you. they want you back after you move on. never again will they risk losing you, now that they've opened their eyes to how incredible you are.

i love the ones where the bad love interest (or even family member) goes back to fix things, it's kinda healing;;;;; but i'm less into the ones where the main character goes back in time and is just "built different" enough to earn the love of someone who murdered their whole family or whatever;; they're like "oh if she just acted cuter/louder/smar...... 1 reply
I think the mc fucking over the ml after going back in time due to being mistreated is the shit I eat all the time. If done right, that shit will always be my bread and butter.
However, regarding to the ml going back in time to fix their shit, I think it can be done well. But I like it if the ml doesn’t get with the mc after realizing how impor...... reply
I actually like when they don’t get revenge and pack up to live their dream. I once read a story about the MC get cheated on and neglected by her husband. When she went back, she just avoided him and took the risk to be a magician or chef, I can’t remember.
I also like when they don’t immediately get a new LI. I enjoy when they build communi...... reply
For me, I like them because I like the plot twists and stuff. But for their relationship, I personally rather when she hates him at the beginning, she avoids him. She makes fun of him/provokes him. And he’s confused until his memories come back/he rewinds time. And figures out that from the way she’s been acting she regressed too. So he either ...... reply
