What’s something you think should be talked about more when it comes to modern day feminist ideals
I’ve been seeing a lot of debate on modern day feminism and how it may or may not be supporting patriarchal values that have been set within the society and I see some very interesting perspectives on this. I knew a similar debate on mangago would end up in even more interesting perspectives so please go all out. It doesn’t just have to be just feminism btw it’s just a starter ig
Idk how controversial this is but three main things for me :
1. sex work is not empowering to the majority women (prostitution should not be legalised)
2. most make up wear / cosmetic surgery is the product of patriarchy (im not talking about people who use make up as a genuine media for art)

I think alot of ppl forget that feminism is equality not equitity, alot of men don't get that and some women too. Centuries women have been fighting for simple human rights, a way to live without having to force to fully cover themselves "just to not be SAed", forced with these ideals that a woman is always a housewife when they were children, the ...... reply
