Vocaloid is underrated and im desperate to make people get into it.

shortie~ shortie~ 2020-06-20 10:41:08 About get to know you
Skip to the third paragraph if you want to get right into the songs recommendations! (I hope someone cares enough to read this lol)

I listen to anything that i thought sounds good. I've been into one direction in grade school (i know they can be really corny and cheezy, but their songs are catchy), BTS in first year of highschool and the likes. Now it has died down though. But i've never found something that fit my preferences so well as vocaloid.

Im not even sure what to call this type of music. Its not just vocaloid, because they have utaites (people that covers vocaloid songs) that also compose amazing songs. And then you have someone like Kenshi Yonezu whos already a very popular singer and songwriter that also makes songs for vocaloid. They cover quite a lot of genres. The first one i discovered was "dramaturgy" by eve. It's very catchy i instantly want to know more about this style of music. But the lyrics is what really gets me to appreciate it even MORE. Im just surprised that they could make such intricate stories and messages through those lyrics (I'm not saying that a good song has to have some 7th dimentional meanings though). I do think that some vocaloid songs might sound weird to a lot of people (like "traffic jam" for example https://youtu.be/YUxQqCtGIFc ). That makes me think that vocaloid might be ahead of its time. And thats why i like it.

In conclusion, i just want you to try to get into it. Make sure to turn on the captions and read the lyrics for full experience.

For starter, maybe try listening to this
• "dramaturgy" by eve.
https://youtu.be/jJzw1h5CR-I
• "kosute yama" by TAKUTO (unfortunately there arent any lyrics translation available anywhere. Yes, it's THAT underrated. It's still very catchy though)
https://youtu.be/QKweHMcceIs

• "Traffic Jam" by Niru Kajitsu covered by Miyashita Yuu
https://youtu.be/YUxQqCtGIFc
• "Wozwald" by NILFRUITS featuring Miyashita Yuu.

• "No.2" by TAKUTO

• "Alter Ego" by Misumi featuring Hatsune Miku.

The "ballad(?)" ones
• "Ikanaide" by Sohta covered by MafuMafu (lyrics https://vocaloidlyrics.fandom.com/wiki/いかないで_(Ikanaide) )
https://youtu.be/I1qo9ZxoF04

A little chaotic
• "Suicide Parade" by YURRY CANON covered by Araki
https://youtu.be/bOCbtu_yFzk
• "Dareka no Shinzou ni Nareta Nara (i want to be your heart" by YURRY CANON covered by MafuMafu

https://youtu.be/4CANu6PPz28

Thats all for now. I spent a great time typing this all. Honestly, it looks lengthy, but i didnt i disnt spen that much time typing. I hope you'd check them out! Please tell me your thoughts on them if its not a bother! :)) thank you so much for reading!

I know! i agree that vocaloid is not what it used to be. But Im actually quite new in this genre. I only got into this a year ago. And personally, im more into the newer stuff like maretu, kikuo, syudou, yurry canon etc. But i also love the older stuff. Especially wowaka (rest in peace). Thats why i know that it's possible to bring in new fans because i myself am one! I am keeping up to date on my favourite composers uwu.
