I dont read bl's as often but this is a HUGE problem in historical romances too and some of the yuri I've read. Its crazy to think how a lot of my top 10 are just too UNRRLATED CONSENTING ADULTS who respect eachother, and like, genuinely love eachother. unnecessary rape = makes no difference to the plot, is brushed over, barely ever acknowledged for what it is
necessary rape = pivotal part of the plot / a character's development, not glorified or excused, shown for what it is

Agree on the 'Night Song' one , only if the ML hadn’t forced the MC in the beginning and had just explained how everything works and they would've consensual sex the story could’ve been peak with the art style and plot.

To be honest, Jinx, I admit I enjoyed her art style and Jaekyung's strong and bossy personality. But the author just made him r*pist. She didn't need to add unnecessary scenes just for Jaekyung to have 'redemption.' There are many ways to show a 'red flag to green flag' transition for a character without them r*ping anyone.
