Opinions on the tsundere trope?

Personally “Hell yeah, good shit”

But I noticed the tag of “tsundere” isn’t that popular, it’s more used for older series

Is the term still relevant? Do you like the trope? Also what in your opinion makes a good tsunderr? Or what character is your favorite tsundere?

Also is this question an opening to discussion or just me disguising my search for good reccs, or both? You’ll never know

Tsundere trope is pretty cute if written nicely ans they have depth as a character. I really like the fake nonchalant ones as well. If all they have as a character is being a tsundere then I'd say that's where it gets annoying. Idrk any good tsundere characters..maybe Till from alnst? I really only like it when it's more in a modest form. Not overly done. For example, I like it when the cool silent types (preferably in yuri) turn out to be really shy and a little defensive. Especially if they end up becoming more brash and showing more personality later on. Give me depth and a backstory I can root for and my life is yours. reply

When its done right I do like the trope sometimes. But yeah personally I found the older series tsundere’s absolutely insufferable back then. It was mainly a coverup for verbally and often times physically abusive behavior that wasn’t cute or endearing that they tried to pass off as slap-stick humor.
