Does anyone else feel like they're still a child stuck in an adult body?
I'll be taking my licensure exam soon and after that I'll start to work, still I feel like I'm wearing someone else's skin. Peers who are the same age as me seem to have gotten their lives together whereas.... I'm still feeling stuck. I still have this kind of childish interests and hobbies, it feels kinda weird now but I still love doing it. It feels weird since it feels kind of shameful in comparison to others. I'm just looking someone who also feels the same way.
I am a perpetual 16 year old, my face will wrinkle, my bones will ache and my eyesight will worsen but my soul will never let go of its childlike wonder. You're never too old for anything. And i think it's an attractive trait to be a bit childish. People who are serious all the time are so boring. reply
I agree, but I think there's good in still having those interests. Being able to mature while still having a childlike wonder is a gift. It makes you see life from a different perspective that a lot of people dont have anymore.
Of course, there's still the responsibilities of becoming an adult, but that dosent have to mean the complete erasure of i...... reply
What you are feeling is completely natural. We live in a capitalist model society where we live by the rules of the system, we aren't really allowed to follow our natural rhythms. Oh my god 100% yeah i like playing games, I still hide snacks under my bed because of my siblings and I still have plushies on my bed, and when I buy a figurine or blind boxes or a small key chain from my favorite anime or just because I like it and think it's cute with my adult money, they always ask me: aren't you a little old for this?
