its a dilemma
Guys, please stop confusing reality with fiction. I know this site is basically split in two, people who are hung up on morals and the rest who just doesn’t give a fuck. But seriously guys, whenever a question comes up with things concerning incest, if yaoi is bad, shota/lolis, its literally the same shit over and over. We have people saying it’s disgusting to show rape/shota/incest and everything in between because if they do then people might actually commit these crimes, and the rest, who don’t really care. But the thing is, it’s fiction. It’s literally not hurting anyone, and the characters are NOT alive. Rape, pedos, and incest were all things before yaois and lolis/shotas were made. ITS FICTION. Instead of focusing on fictional characters and sprouting about how morally wrong it is to read about made up characters and their made up actions, maybe consider helping real people and children that are being abused? Just my line of thought. We all have different opinions on this topic so feel free to bash me in the comments but this is honestly what I think.

If the author wants to write a story with those elements, it's fine, BUT they should at least use proper trigger warnings. Certain genres, too me, are disgusting. I do not read shota/lolicon and I change how I read incest stories to make them bearable (brothers to step-brothers and cousins to family friends). What other people like is their business.
The words normalize and romanticize, in truth, are based on perspective. It is not like the readers are impressionable...... reply

This is why I read the description and the tags. That way I can see what sort of content I'm about to encounter and what I can ignore.
The downside to that is sometimes people don't tag things correctly. I read a couple of stories where it was tagged as Rape, but rape wasn't in it. Instead, it was someone reacting, thinking the exchange counted as...... reply
