tbh i don’t know shit abt japanese but fu or “腐”, which is the character that is responsible for the syllable “fu”, means rotten or fermented… my guess is it’s cuz there was a certain stigma around reading BL and that’s why they named it “rotten girl”

I recall reading somewhere that both himejoshi and himedanshi come from Yuri Hime, which is a magazine for yuri manga. I don't think there's a intricate meaning behind the term.

I guess it’s because a lot of girls who read yaoi don’t behave like normal people. Not everybody, but there’s a stereotype for a reason. I read BL too, but the number of times I argued with other girls who victim blame, justify psychological abuse, physical abuse, pdffiles, and grape is horrible. On this site I've met some of the worst people...... reply
