It's a power move really, its collective punishment against the people of Cuba because they dared to do a revolution and not be a US territory and how dare such a near by island be Socialist? I think the US see 's it as a betrayal. They have blockades on multiple countries, they even put one on north Korea after bombing basically everything to smithereens and doing multiple wars crimes such a bombing dams. Specifically since I live in the Caribbean I hope the best to these countries bc compared to big counteies like the USA, (who are stupidly close rn) each Caribbean country is miniscule in comparison and these little islands can not handle such a big hurricane, I generally hope these countries are able to get through this with the least casualties as possible.
