My first manga was Detective Conan - I slowly got into in, then shifted to the anime, first with the vf (version française) then the original Japanese version. I needed time to adapt to the new voices but the language itself didn't bother me (I came to like it).

For some reason I felt like I had been watching anime forever when I first started watching my first anime(Naruto) in sub. I had been learning Japanese before I started watching anime so maybe that had something to do with it. I also know a couple of other Asian languages so when a character made a sound like "EHHHHH" I was kind of used to it.
