mine has to be "The Summer Hikaru Died." I think that it definitely helped me improve my visual storytelling because the paneling is absolutely gorgeous and I've taken a lot of inspiration from it. yoshiki as a main character has also helped me process a lot of things in my life, his grief and denial of his feelings has been very relatable to me an...... reply

Very new very little chapters, but the author's ability to make you feel like you're living every moment is crazy. I swear I was like shaking for half of these chapters. I am entirely immersed, insanely good writing. 2 reply
I don't think this story is particularly amazing, it's great but not amazing and yet i loved it, it impacted me deeply i never felt more maternal for a grown man ever this one is something i have lot of mixed feelings about especially towards the ending and extras, i enjoyed it and loved the art 1 reply
i'd say Koimonogatari. it opened a new door in how i view my friendships and relationships w others and how a healthy bond w someone can have such a beautiful impact. it also helped me realise a few of the struggles of being gay in a conservative society, overall, this one is a rollercoaster of emotions and the lack of updates is killing me

Just realised (bcz of your question) that I didn't read a very impactful man/ga/hwa/hua in a long time because I was too busy scavenging on AO3 . Found absolute peak stuff there though so I guess a win is a win. Many works made me finally FINALLY start writing again after so many years as well so yeh they had an impact I gotta say.
