Heated rivarly
How are we feeling about heated rivarly gang? Tbh I came out feeling really underwhelmed after watching the whole show. It felt too jumpy and there was a lack of dialogue. So I read the book and found out they actually did a great job at adapting it. Like it's written to be that jumpy I guess..? So is the source material mid or am I missing something and I should rewatch it because I really don't get the hype or praise. I mean progressive and new yes? But good story and writing..? I don't really think so. I mean I totally am enamored by Hudson and connor's charisma offstage (especially Hudson) but that doesn't make the show good.. idk what do y'all think because I don't see any discussion on this
I mean, it's very standard romance television, if you ask me. Compare it to shows like Bridgerton or The Summer I Turned Pretty, and you'll find they're pretty similar in terms of "depth" and "spice." The latter is supposed to keep the watcher engaged, because sex sells, while the former can't go too deep, because the casual audience needs to be ab...... reply
Lowkey, the book is better. The show is like a sped up version. It's good but better if you know the plot. That's my opinion though. I like hokey themed books so, this was perfect for me. They do shorten a lot of thing in the show though. It doesn't make the yearning as obvious. reply
I am obsessed. It's exactly the content I usually read/watch with really pretty and sexy characters + the yearning is unbelievable. Some people complained about the fast development but I really liked that the plot was progressing so well because I get bored if we are still on square one after 5 episodes.
