Whats the point of thrifting here when most of the clothes ARE FROM SHEIN. I cant even imagine as time passes by, all the thrift store would be filled with shein. I cant even find a thrift store where shein isnt included in my country.
Hi! I totally understand what u mean. I find clothes that are from shein too when i thrift, and sometimes they even put the price really high. Like comon its from shein and not some incredible expensive brand… but i dont mind it even tho it gets annoying. Cause after all, the point of thrifting for me is that clothes are being reused, and not just thrown in a landfill, u get what i mean? Like the point was to be able to not always but new clothes with alllllll the current existing clothes! Reuse, recycle. But i feel like this kinds of discussions should be aimed at people mass buying from shein, like hauls, even tho they got money for good quality and long lasting clothes!
My biggest problem is the thing with reselling shein and putting higher price! Its so annoying, and its so easy to find in out its from shein. I am always on vinted, and they have this problem… i hateeee it. And when u call them out, they double down and think its completely okay
Rightt, I dont get on how many people buy so much from shein despite them being able to afford to actually buy some decent quality clothes the sad thing is that they overconsume so much when they dont wear the clothes that they bought OFTEN and just straight up buying another pair of clothes after wearing it. Considering the amount of people buying from shein, im worried in the future on how most of the clothes youll see in thrift store would possibly be full of shein.
