Sometimes I get an instant notification when a series updates, sometimes I get it a day late, or not at all

.....Maybe if you haven't, try opening a chapter of said Title and atleast with doing this,
it'll put it in your 'HISTORY'. I find, checking the history is quicker than receiving a 'Notification'.
Sounds silly, but you can check your history and the Titles that you are engaged with, have a memo next to it letting you know its been updated :))
