Overthinking and overwhelm

Momo06_tzumaiyu Momo06_tzumaiyu 2026-01-26 20:11:45 About question
I transfered from a community college to a 4 year college to get my bachelor's. Im taking data structure and algorithms. The prerequisite are programming 2. The problem is that i didn't retain anything from my other programming classes. Im anxious about taking this class due to it being a prerequisite to other classes that i need to take in the future to be able to graduate.

All my classes look hard but I think that's due to the new professor in the new college I'm attending. I scared I am taking more than I can handle. What if I fail? Im scared

This resulting in me think I should just drop out of college get a job and see what is in store for lol. Im just overthinking every possibility.

Im just ranting.

Look at the syllabus for programming 2, see what the course needs and you don't know and just grind.

They will expect you to know how to do the things in that course.

However, if it calms you down, algorithms and data structures isn't as programming heavy as an actual programming course. You might do some coding on labs/assignments+coding on exams but it shouldn't be as challenging as coding on coding course-specific exams.

That was the case for me anyway.
