You’ve been deceived your whole life and you’re only just realizing this right before your death? I’m sold! Bonus points if the villains are extra vile, like yes! I want a good revenge story! Glow up! Clock their tea! Make them suffer!
But at the same damn time, what do you mean you were deceived your whole life? Like fr, didn’t you sense something was off? ATP you’re an accomplice in your demise.
Like I genuinely can’t imagine needing to die first before realizing that my best friend, or half sister or fiancé or even Patricia from next door has it out for me..
Lastly regression tropes make it too easy for the protagonists fr, they end up conveniently finding out the entire truth right before they die and they start yapping about revenge, bish please you’d have died ignorant for all you know. I want them to start sending these people to the past without all the extra clues, work hard for your revenge love
