I have a friend who makes EVERYTHING about themselves.
Like love, i get it you are one year older than me, and literally every guy that has ever known you has a crush on you, but atleast listen to what im about to say ya?
No matter what you tell them, they have always had a similar experience so they know whats the right thing to do. They don't even CARE if the conditions or the person involved are different from the ones in their story.
i do like to have the opinion of my friends on some matters. I trust some of their judgements, but it gets annoying when i don't even want any advice and i am just SHARING what is going on but they have to jump in with "Um actually, don't do this. I know what will happen next. Something similar happened to me too" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
The next time they start doing this, stop them right away and tell them you're not looking for advice and just want to be heard!!!! Either you make it clear to them and they make an effort or... the friendship's not gonna last.
