This was my academic research for psychology.

In this study, we studied cases of child marriage victims. This went on for a whole year btw, this was the results. We talked with these people how it affected them, honestly it's literally a research to help pass a law to convince random politicians. The process is If a senator cited our research or used it as evidences which is rare but my university has a professor who's in politics won't say who. Anyways, from the results we found out justice doesn't really happen in most cases. They can get reported, but however it won't necessarily put the guy into jail specially when he's a higher up like a baranggay official or a kagawad. It's corruption at it finest. Lack of evidences as well is the reason the cases don't go through much and their abusers remain free and walking. Most of the time why it gets delayed?

The victims gets pressured or paid by the abuser not to do so. 8/10 they regret accepting the money, for those who didn't simply said it was for survival. Most victims are kid/families with barely access to education. They often either live in the mountains or on another side of a river with no bridges that are actually functioning. So education is a no go, lots of times the parents are farmers working to sell a bag of eggplants or any veggies for like ₱200 pesos. Barely enough for a day. Which unfortunately how... They let others "adopt" their child (it's selling) and that's where the whole thing starts. Another reason why it's unreported because families themselves hide it.

That's all I'm allowed to say lol the book is just gonna goddamn sit in the library for who knows how long.
