Why the hype on Nerd Project?
Let me clarify that I don't hate nerd project and in fact I quite like it butt I don't think it's like the best or even a top 5 for my list. Imo think it's overhyped and im trying to understand why people like it so much? Tbh the ending was also kind of a lacklustre and rushed? Ofc having a top that is sensible, yearner and a nerd is already a good concoction for a beautiful love interest but I think there are other stories with more uumphh and at the same time have those qualities for their ML. Not to mention seeing straight men cosplay as Andrew young makes me wonder if the reason it got so popular is because the character has the look of those "conventionally hot nerd" look like Andrew Garfield in Spiderman. Or maybe it's because they both have the same name and Google gave both searches so thats how straight men found out a bout it and then made it so popular??? honestly this whole thing is ridiculous and im in a spiral as to why and how it got so popular which is unnecessary and once again im not hating on Nerd Project yall.
I can't really comment on the manhwa itself because I didn't read it, but your comment about "straight men cosplaying Andrew Young (the MC?)" kind of annoyed me ngl.
First of all, how do you know for a fact that the cosplayer is certainly straight? Do you need them to record themselves sucking dick to be sure they're actually into men or something...... 3 reply
Definitely bcz it was made during the great yaoi toxic slop era the ml was nerdy buff and needy like every1's type during that time the story plot was very pulling at the start and the art style was somewhat different all I can sum up rlly 2 reply
dude i can't even with the straight cosplays lmfao. i've seen so many people on instagram having yaoi pfps, and most of em don't even know that it's from a media of legit two men fucking.
nerd project's amazing, in my opinion. i loved the first season way more than the second one, mostly cuz the end was VERY rushed and felt kinda bland.

The art is gorgeous, but the plot is just okay. Dynamic is also just fine. Because it isn’t controversial or has any largely problematic content, more people read it. We need to have better standards reply
There is so muvh generic slop in yaoi that makes nerd project seems like a godsent when its a solid 7.5. Dont get me wrong, i enjoyed it; the art was a feast in itself. However, i felt like there could be so much more too it. At the end i wasnt really fulfilled and quite a bit sad about how it ended- felt very anticlimatic. I would say i enjoyed it...... 2 reply

true true......a seme that is kinda similar to andrew (by the traits that you mentioned) but is like highkey better than him is song uyun from one room ta. i haven't read it yet so my opinion isn't insanely relevant but i feel like one room ta is better than nerd project in many aspects, u know????
