It's not disrespectful. But this hatred of the word talent has a reason.
We understand when people say it it's in the best intentions and I do take it as a compliment. Hell, even I say it from time to time because I know people will get it.

Most people who end up insanely good at sth are talented as well. However, art community for some reason hate talented people and get triggered by a mere mention of talent.
