anyone else is a slow reader?
I've been wondering why I don't end up reading a lot of works each months, I decided to stop all hobbies except reading, with like minimum 4 hours of daily reading (all forms not just comics) and I still end the month with like 1 book 1.5 journal entries 3 manhwas + manga I'm sloooow and I've probably always been but never noticed I wonder how yall finsh longish works in a single night
i could actually finish entire completed manwhas (plural yes) in one sitting, im able to read fast and on top of that have enough time to feel how characters felt and overall moods that are being portrayed in each moment whilst understanding what is being said in terms of plot as well, i consider it my superpower reply
If its around 40 chaps, i can easily finish it in 1 night without any strain, but if its more then that, it will take extra efforts from my eyes to finish it in 1 night but tge limut is less than 70 chaps. If anyone here can finish 100 chaps in 1 night then pls teach me your ways sensei 1 reply
i mostly read romance but if it's smutty, then i skim through bc i find sex generally boring. if it's something funny, has good artstyle, or is something sweet and fluffy, then i take my time to read it properly

if im reading stories that already has long ass chapters i usually ended up taking breaks here and there. like reading until a certain pages then went to doomscroll on pinterest, then watch some yt, and then repeat. maybe even resuming another story that im holding off cus i took a break far too long lmfao reply
I'm slow too like my mom and sis can read a thick ahh book in a single night without sleep while mine took me a month. I think I'm slower in physical books but a tiny bit faster when I read fanfics on my phone. comics, mangas, or mahua however is different as well. some stories have a short chapters while others are long. the longest chapters I've ...... reply
It honestly depends if what I'm reading is interesting or not. It's either I do my responsibilities or never see the light outside for the whole day reply
It really depends on how invested i am in the story, if it's a bit boring it takes me a good amount of time but if i really like the story i will read until there are no more, i also re-read a lot of the ones i like it so it goes even faster since I'm not doing much most days i can easy read over 100 Ch in a day, cuz I'm so in to the story i even f...... reply
cant relate since i like to read few novels/mangas in one sitting and my curiousty would never leave it alone until i reach the ending most of times imma open so many tab i opened at once, when one loading i go to the other one and repeat. but tbh its really depends too on the story, if the story really good and im so invested for it im only gonna...... reply
minimum 4hrs reading every single day is pretty impressive in general, I say it doesn't matter how much you read in that 4hrs as long as you enjoy what you read
it also just depends on what you're reading, some stuff are just denser and may take longer, while others you can scroll through pretty easily and still be able to follow the plot
