Hi, i am researching for our project and i need to know your opinions about yaoi and fujoshis. I need all of your sides, from the discriminated boys or fujoshis who defend themselves. I am in desperate need of help. People are saying fujoshis and fudanshis are toxic and harmful(I AM NOT STARTING FANDOM WARS) and i need to know the sides of those discriminated by the fujoshis and fudanshis and the sides of the fujoshis that are constantly discriminated by people saying you are fetishizing gay people. Hello! I’m a gay male who reads BL/yaoi anyways I can see why there is discrimination towards the fujo community but there shouldn’t be any discrimination towards us! We kinda have somewhat of a right to no not fetishize gay men but to enjoy reading mangas and manwhas that have lewd scenes about them. For me I’m into phycological horror yaois...... reply

Just because you like reading yaoi or yuri doesn't mean you are fetishizing Gay men and women. I read yaoi and yuri because I like to read it not because it turns me on in any sort of way. ( I mean yaoi in this sense, I'm a cis pan girl with a preference for women so yuri is another story ;) ) But anyway yeah either way I don't care how many people...... reply
I think if they don't try and force things on people and communities then its all good but if they act like "oh it would be better if it was gay" then I hate that because can't we just respect the author's choices and enjoy a series the way the author intended us to. A problem though is when they mix up their yaoi obsession with real life like plea...... reply
i honestly haven't really ever had a good experience with them?? the amount of fetishization ive seen from people who say they're a fujoshi is actually unreal. plus the bl community excuses and romanticizes toxic behavior because it was in their favorite mangas/manhwas (im looking at you killing stalking fujoshis.) and a lot of the fujoshis ive see...... 1 reply
Everyone is talking about the fetishizers,all the time like there’s not a single thread revolving about yaoi where I haven’t encountered someone talking about fetishizing gay people, but I kid you not, I have not once in my entire life met a fujoshi who fetishizes gay people...I’m not saying they don’t exist I’m saying they’re not that...... 1 reply
